Behind the scenes . . .
–I attended a womens’ retreat with teen moms that I mentor. I loved the speaker, but I’m overwhelmed with the complex needs of these young moms. Yet, as someone who had a baby at seventeen, I understand and I love them. I love how they keep trying and growing.
–I got called away from the retreat because my husband had to take my grandma to the emergancy room. After many tests and a week in the hospital, she is now minus a gallbladder and doing better. And if I even need to write a hospital book, I have plenty of research, because I spent a lot of time there!
–My mom came up to help with grandma and it was great having her around. She ironed one day and mopped my floors. I begged her to stay, but she had to leave this morning. Bummer.
–I completed two chapters for Generation Next Marriage, which is due in January. I think it’s kinda of amazing that I’m writing this book, because some of my biggest struggles have concerned this area. I want to do the right thing when it comes to being a committed, loving wife . . . but oh how hard it is! (Why can’t perfection be easy?!)
–Now I’ve turned my focus back to working on my next novel, A Valley of Betrayal. I know know if I’m supposed to share the cover yet, but I think it’s my favorite yet! I love it! Hmmm . . . now I just need to finish writing the book!
