The Best Easter Books for Your Child’s Basket

The Best Easter Books for Your Child's Basket

I love Easter books! My children’s Easter baskets always have books inside. These are the ones I’m most excited about this year, the ones I feel are the best Easter books for your child’s basket.

The Best Easter Books for Your Child’s Basket

For the littlest kids:

Little Ducklings Easter Prayers by Crystal Bowman.

The prayers are PRECIOUS! Not fluff!

“Jesus, when you came to earth,
you died for everyone.
And many people knew the truth–
that you were God’s own Son.

Jesus, you are my Savior,
and I believe in you.

Fill me with your special love,
and make my life brand-new.”

That is just one of the prayers and the others a great, too!

Also, The Crazy Easter Day by Jill Roman Lord.

“It may have been a quiet day when Jesus rose again or …
It may have been quite crazy as the world rejoiced back them!”

Even more fun–it includes sounds that animals could have made to praise God, and encourages kids to praise Him, too.

For older kids:

The Way to the Savior is BEAUTIFUL!

It’s 40 devotions that can lead up to Easter, but we are just starting this week … so there you go! Also, the deep Spiritual truths are ones kids need all year long. Each day has a lesson, a prayer, and questions for family members to discuss.

Finally, Where Is Wisdom: A Treasure Hunt Through God’s Word is awesome. This beautifully illustrated book shares where people look for wisdom, and how true wisdom is found in God. I love it!

Every year I find more wonderful Easter books to fill my bookshelves. I love sharing these with you because I know how important it is to teach our children to know and love the Lord. Easter is such an important and special time to help your kids draw close to God through the story of his death and resurrection. The story of His extravagant love for us.

Here are more posts you might enjoy of other great Easter reads for your children and family.

Family Easter Open House

Easter is one of my favorite times of the year. I love celebrating Jesus and His resurrected life. I appreciate how—symbolic of Jesus’ rebirth—the whole earth breaks forth in life, budding fresh and new from a frozen world stripped bare.

Since most of us will not be celebrating Easter at church this year, I thought we could ALL celebrate together through a Family Easter Open House. No matter your age–or how many people are in your family–I’d love for YOU to join us!

All you do is post your photos on Facebook or Instagram starting Sunday, April 5th. Invite us into your home … and enjoy seeing how others are celebrating this season.

Use the hashtag #FamilyEasterOpenHouse on all your posts … and then click on the hashtag to see what others are doing.
